Thornton, Colorado
Thornton is a suburb in the northeast
Metro Denver area. It’s located
approximately halfway between Denver and Boulder, with convenient access to both
downtown Denver and Denver International Airport. The city was founded as a
subdivision in 1953 and named Thornton in honor of then-current governor Dan
Thornton. The city was incorporated in 1956. Thornton is in Adams County,
adjacent to I-25, and has a wide range of housing types and prices available.
The current population is approximately 110,000.
