The Adams County Museum Complex in Brighton includes exhibits that range from prehistory through the 1930's. Special exhibits include an 1887 house, a blacksmith shop, a one room schoolroom, and other buildings.

The Denver Art Museum is especially well known for its American Indian Art collection. The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is the region’s foremost science and natural history museum. The museum features exhibits, lectures, and programs. Permanent exhibits include Egyptian Mummies, Gems & Minerals, Prehistoric Journey, and extensive wildlife dioramas. The museum complex also includes the Gates Planetarium and Imax Theater.

The Molly Brown House Museum was once owned by Margaret Tobin Brown, better known as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". Collections include both items actually owned by Molly Brown and items from the years 1894 - 1912, when the Browns lived in the home. The Museum also features fashions from the years 1867 - 1932 and special exhibits.
