No matter what advertisers may try to tell you, information you find on the internet is never a substitute for a trained, experienced Realtor. The internet can be a good place to start, but it cannot be relied upon. It's like trying to diagnose and treat a health problem yourself based on what you find on the internet, instead of seeing your doctor.

Furthermore, the amount of information you find online can be overwhelming and yet not tell you what you really need to know. After awhile it is just noise. And some of what you see online is just plain wrong or misleading. Some real estate information applies only to certain states or areas, while things are done completely differently in other areas. Some applies only to certain market conditions.
