Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a unique open-air amphitheatre that is naturally formed from red sandstone. Two monoliths, Ship Rock and Creation Rock, provide perfect acoustics for performances, and there are panoramic views of Denver. Red Rocks Park includes spectacular rock formations and a hiking trail. The Park is 6,200 feet above sea level, in a transitional zone between the Great Plains and the Rockies, and includes plants, animals, and birds from both regions.
